Since 2006, the National Women's Golf Association, formerly known as the Suncoast Ladies Pro Golf Tour, has been providing aspiring female athletes an opportunity to hone and develop their skills in a highly competitive tournament atmosphere. As the #1 tour for women who have their eyes set on the LPGA / Symetra Tour, the NWGA has proven year after year to be an outstanding avenue in preparing young athletes for the challenges a career in professional golf present.
To date the NWGA has conducted over 325 professional golf events, and has produced players who have gone on to win on Tour's world wide. When you tee it up in an NWGA event your a walking in the foot steps of some of the games best players. Some of the LPGA Tour players who have won, or competed, in NWGA events include: Paula Creamer, Maria Hjorth, Amy Yang, Stacy Lewis, Jeong Jang (British Open Champ), Kris tamulis, Britany Lincicome, Anna Nordqvist, Lorie Kane, Brooke Henderson, Cheyenne Woods, Chella Choi, just to name a few...
The NWGA welcomes amateur golfers in all of our events. There is no age minimum requirement. In fact, we are often visited by golfers as young as twelve years old. Amateur golfers MUST demonstrate an ability to be competitive with the rest of the field, and be able to satisfy the tour's 90 or higher rule.
